zumba!

yesterday, i had my first zumba class at the new gym.  it was fun, but intense! the instructor didn't show us how to do any of the moves, just said "follow me....do what i do".  i'm glad i have a little bit of a dance background, because i don't know if i would've been able to keep up!


anyway, i'm pretty sore. my first personal training session is tomorrow, and if it's anything like my coworkers' ones, it's gonna kick my butt! (in a good way, i hope.) 


i'm really liking the gym so far.  i feel like i have so many more options than before. yay!

Good thing you just did the Wii last night! Now you can be prepared for your trainer today.

After being in Florida, and then sick the week I came back, I finally started working out again last night. Working out with the Wii that is.

I did go to Curves last week once (last week being my sick week). That day was the best I felt all week. I hope to start back with Curves either tonight or tomorrow.

Also, as of yesterday,I'm going to start a new eating habit. Yes, habit, not diet. I'm going to try the portion control thing. Trying to make more healthy food decisions, but not starving myself of the less healthy. Last night I tried it by only have one piece of pizza instead of two or more. It seemed to work! The only immediate road block to this plan is I bought a lot of comfort food for my boyfriend because I gave him my cold. Funny thing how a 36 year old guy can start feeling better by just the sight of chocolate milk! Yes, he's a kid at heart!

I miss Zumba, the class here is super packed, so I don't go anymore. I also miss TurboKick... Good luck, remember, everything moves you forward :)

thanks, sheena! yeah, zumba only had 4 people, including me, which was pretty sweet. :)

and lisa, good job on the healthier eating and going back to curves!
